Which one?
Both. I mean, dude is 100% like those Nazi scientists. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and loves human experiments. Creepier than fook. Dude makes my skin crawl.
That makes the emperor Hitler then?
Only if he condones and is aware of it?
Yes
it seems like they used jiro's late wife for the kumi clones
Seems we have the same thought.
I didnt think of this
This is so cheap and cliche for drama. I seriously had problems to get through the first minute... before fast-forwarding to the last minute of the pisode.
Zeke u didn't deserve what happened to you for having a conscience & trying to help Kumi escape even despite the odds.Your efforts really opened Kumi's eyes to seek a world beyond the facility & without you she might've suffered a similar fate as the others.
RIP to Zeke the man & to every Kumi clone who were experimented on & never given the half the chance to experience hope & happiness outside <3
Was confused when the credits started showing up halfway through the episode.
Guess it's not so easy to save someone who's undergone years of brainwashing. Kumi really shouldn't have left the other girl alone for so long while she went to greet her friends.
"OSOI"
Interesting that was definitely jirous' wife at the end there. Now that i think about it, the blond kumi well had blond hair like his wife. could it be she was pregnant at the time of her death. Or is kumi a clone of jirous' wife?
From the beginning it seemed to me that the girls are Touka's clones. It seemed too convenient that the main hero's cleric and significant other had such light hair, just like Kuumi and her "sisters"(and the girls were lab experiments) and had passed away some convenient time in the past, and now Jiro and the escaped girl(Kuumi) can easily match and merge for fights; even more so once the Mountaineers' village arc revealed that the paladin and cleric had to be very personally connected.
Well i dn't know about from the begining, but in this episode makes it clear where they came from. after seeing his wife, and kuumi just got the feeling they are connected. plot twists am i right.
For me it was from the beginning, because I'm aware of tropes, motifs, themes, archetypes, stereotypes and so on usage in fiction. And I've seen similar stuff happening in several works, be them manga, anime, or sci-fi from around the world in other media and franchises. So I noticed a pattern as soon as the first flashback happened. Of course, I'm not always right, but I often get at least 2/3 or 3/4 of the plot-twist right.
Guess enough experience with fiction helps...
It kinda of messed up though, using a man's dead wife for some sick experiment. That's the lowest you can possibly go. If she was pregnant with that child, what happened to that child. Very concerning to think about.
Pregnancy or not, Fairy Tail and To the abandoned sacred beasts already have such subplots themselves, and to top it all, the mad scentists in those stories were personally close with the ladies themselves( "friends").
Right! like man when jiro finds out the truth blood is gona hit the fan hard. How will kuumi feel i wonder when she finds out the truth. hell she may even be jiros unborn daughter fyi plot holes are fun.
Finally some backstory
Unfortunately it's too little too late.
The way they treated Kumi reminds me of what happen to Zero Two. So sad.
the emperor has to be a giant beast in disguise. Mezami used his sharingan on all the kumi clones
Or something even worse. Not sure whether to expect Facade to have the winged gb form from the op, or the emperor. He's not human(flatlander) anyway.
Oh, he might even be the "god" thing those crones were chanting about a couple of episodes ago, with the emperor in the center of a weird room and "seal", and he is using the emperor as "meat-suit", while the giant beasts are its creations/mooks.
true he probably could be a god
Human experimentation isn't cool. F to pay respects to the scientist guy who tried to save Kumi. :(
Welp,it was given that dark kumi will die..it's something common in anime where when bad guys becomes good, they have to die bcs of some random bullshet
Ikr I miss the good old days where they don't die well actually they die but in a few years because he/she save mc
Idk,it seems to be a habit of authors, like in some anime when a character is about to die, they shine briefly(not in literall meaning)
"Finally! A fantasy anime that goes, 'We don't need to copy every other isekai world to ever be made; let's copy Attack on Titan instead!'"-Gigguk on Ars no Kyojuu, Winter Anime 2023 in a Nutshell
Actually this more like a Aot cross with Star Wars with this series.
Idk about AoT, never read/watched it(and I'm sure I don't need/want to), but AnK looks to me like a fusion of Shaman King, To the abandoned sacred beasts, Sousei no Onmyouji(the manga, which itself took something from FFVII's story) and Darling in the Franxx, to name a few off the top of my head.
damn
So our scientist is yet ANOTHER generic goon who thinks every other species is beneath him, so humanity should be on top. NTM he's trying to play God with these Kumi clones and everything.
Awesome.
Star Wars Attack of the Clones comes into mind.
OMG, now that you mention it, it DOES feel like that! XD
Nice episode
I have to say it now its stuck in my head:
Reminds me of nier immediately
Glory to Mankind
I hope someone kill that guy sameway.
One thing that bothers me... how the hell the other kumi was able to fly / jump ? :P
One less Kumi to headpat...
damn. just... damn. :( that was some tragic stuff there. :(
they need to work harder on the scar Facade has on his forehead. sometimes he moves... and it sits still... and sometimes it moves while he's standing still.
So did the power of that ring absorb the power of the other Kumi?
Now she is double-Kumi!
Best episode so far, mc really endure a lot of pain but she is different from the rest. mc ganbattene!!!
So that's what happened to his friend. Poor girl at the end tho, both of them.
poor them
slapped! but I feel like the concepts are a little rushed.
Tragic past of Kuumi
